Kevät hurahti nopeasti... ja on jo kesä! Puuhaa riittää puutarhassa ja Rautalammille Peuran museoon tulevan nukkekotinäyttelyn parissa, siksi vähän hiljaista täällä. Mutta tässäpä olisi viimeisin työni, keiju Aurelia, jonka äitini sai syntymäpäivälahjaksi. Keiju istuu puussa, joka on oksa vanhempieni pihalla kasvaneesta puusta, keijun hiukset ovat koiramme Natan karvaa, asu tehty äidin silkkikangastilkusta, ja silmäripsissä on mummon turkin karvoja...
Spring went by... and it is summer already! There are many things to do in the garden and with the upcoming dollhouse exhibition in Peuran museo in Rautalampi, that's why it has been so quiet here. But let me show you my latest work, Aurelia fairy that was a birthday present for my mother. The fairy sits on a tree which is a branch from a tree that grew in my parents' garden, her hair is my dog's hair, and her outfit has silk from my mother's fabric patches, and her eyelashes are from my grandmother's furcoat...
Uskomattoman ihana kesäkeiju tämä Aurelia, ei meduusasukua ollenkaan ja miten upeat olivat nämä tarveaineet, mummon turkkia ja koiran karvaa, tämä iskee kyllä suoraan vyön alle, minä kiitän:)
ReplyDeleteHihhihhih, vai että meduusa se Aurelia sitten on! No enpäs tuotakaan tiennyt. Yleensä tutkin tarkkaan nimien merkitykset, tämä on nimipulmatilanteen ratkaisuksi mieheni keksimä väännös äitini nimestä. (Eikä mieskään tiedä meduusoista varmasti mitään...) Ja äitini oitis sen hyväksyi.
